I.Purpose:
The tester is designed and made as per regulations of GB/T4507,ASTM D36,and T0606-2011 in JTG E20-2011 Standard Test Method for Softening Point of Bitumen(Ring-and Ball Method),suitable to determine the temperature at which being soften enough to allow each ball envelopen in bitumen,to fall a distance of 25.4mm.
II.Specification:
1. Microcomputer automatically controls the heating rate,laser detectionand the colored LCD touch screen.Automatically finish the sample test ,display and print the result.
2. Laser detection make the light path clearly visible,and the detection result is accurate and reliable.
3. Use the linear heating to heat the test bath temperature,stir it evenly,and the heating rate meets the requirements of the standard.It can determine four samples or two samples at a time.
4. The beaker adopts high temperature resisting glass material.The sizes of steel ring and ball can meet test standards.
5. It has the RS-232C computer communication interface,and it can realize the communication with the computer.
III.Characteristics and advantages

6. The specifications and sizes of quartz rectangular glass reinforced plastics (2806H) with high temperature resistance and steel ball positioning ring meet the requirements of the standards.
7. The instrument has RS-232C computer communication interface, which can communicate with the computer.
